A Break specialist creates opportunities for your damage dealer. Recovery and support help the squad stay effective across longer encounters. Look beyond the highest total base stat.

Read the planner score

Atlas uses a transparent planning heuristic: roles 35%, elemental attack coverage 25%, element diversity 15%, and total base stats 25%. It does not model cooldowns, equipment, enemy resistance or player execution. A higher number is a prompt to investigate, not a guarantee of a stronger build.

Separate attacks from defence

The attack coverage panel reads the elements attached to recorded abilities. When skills have no element data it falls back to the body elements as an estimate. The defensive panel uses body elements. A companion can therefore contribute one attack type while remaining vulnerable to a different type. Read the two panels together and inspect Skills for the exact abilities behind the coverage.

Change one slot at a time

Start with a companion you own and lock it using Keep in suggestions. Add the remaining roles, then compare a suggested replacement with the current occupant. Read the affected defensive weaknesses as well as the total score. The number next to a suggestion is a change in this planner’s score, not a percentage increase in damage.

Make advice reproducible

Copy the team link to keep the selected forms and locks. Use a descriptive name when saving to your Atlas profile. Before a major investment, open each character’s Build & partners tab and compare the equipment references with what you actually own. A local planner cannot know your levels, inventory or current enemy unless you supply that context.
